Laserblast is one of a number of fun activities and challenges offered at Ballakaigen Farm near Onchan.

The Game
Each player is assigned a name as per their laser gun. Sensor pads are coloured red or blue meaning that games can be played between individuals or two teams.
Players enter a dark, smokey arena and use the many obstacles to hunt down their opponents while trying to dodge unwanted attention. Points are scored each time the laser is fired and it hits an opponents sensor pad.
After a predetermined time, all competitors leave the areana and the hit counts for each player are recorded by the computer.
Styles of Play
Gung-Ho
Race around the arena shooting wildly at anything in sight, even team mates.
Sniper
Hide in corners and behind obstacles trying to stop others seeing the lights on the sensor pad. Peer out to shoot then duck back down.
Buncher
Seek safety in numbers by shielding amongst team mates or another player.
Scoring
The winner(s) can be determined in a number of ways:
- All successful hits of opponents
- All successfull hits less the number of time of being hit
- Accuracy - percentage of shots fired that registered a good hit.
